Trans* Success would like to ask any interested members to sign a petition to reinstate Jenna Talackova as a Miss Universe Canada Contestant.  She was disqualified due to her trans status though there is no rule anywhere in the books saying that she had to be born a cisgender female in order to compete.  Sometimes people have to fight for what they want and our community is well aware of this fact.  Jenna refuses to go down without a fight.  Be the difference and help Jenna create her own success story.

Not vintage, but important.

Ms. Talackova has been disqualified from the Miss Universe Canada contest solely for being transgender. This is discriminatory, unjust, and quite frankly disgusting. She is a woman and deserves to be treated as any other woman would be. What kind of genitals she was or was not born with (and even what kind of genitals she has today) is completely irrelevant. This petition is to get her reinstated as a contestant, since she was unfairly disqualified.
